Set in the picturesque Charente countryside, the Domaine de Lalat is an absolute jewel of a Bed and Breakfast (chambres d’hotes). Its beautiful buildings, large gardens and quiet location will guarantee you a serene and memorable stay. Thomas and Janet moved to Montemboeuf in 2017, after 20 years working in the tourism and customer services industry in the Provence area of Southern France. Thomas and Janet decided that their large property just outside the village was perfect for a bed and breakfast and they set about fully restoring and refurbishing the traditional French 18th Century house, set in four hectares of gardens, park and pasture. They utilised Thomas’s passion for antiques to decorate the public rooms and all the bedrooms in a Belle Epoque style.

The Domaine de Lalat is in a semi-rural location 800m from Montemboeuf, which is a friendly village with a general store, boulangerie, butcher, pharmacy, restaurant, bar, doctor’s surgery gifts and clothes shop and large open air swimming pool.

There is on-site parking at the Domaine de Lalat, as well as secure garaging for classic cars attending Angouleme for the Ramparts, and for motorcycles and cycles. Livery for horses can also be provided. The property and grounds are also shared with a friendly dogs, donkeys and horses. Prices start from €95 per room, per night.
